Best in Dough submission: Peanut Butter Fingers

ABC7 Chicago is happy to announce the 'Best in Dough' holiday cookie contest is back this year.

Recipe: Peanut Butter Fingers

Ingredients:
1/2 c margarine
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1/2 t vanilla
1/3 c peanut butter
1c flour
1 c oatmeal
6 oz chocolate chips

Frosting:
2 c powdered sugar
3-4 T milk
1/2 c peanut butter

Directions:
1. Cream together margarine, sugar and brown sugar. Beat in baking soda, salt, vanilla and peanut butter.
2. Add flour and oatmeal. Pour into buttered 9x13 pan.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
4. When removed from oven pour chocolate chips on top and spread with spatula. Cool until chocolate hardens.
5. Combine powdered sugar, peanut butter and milk. Add just enough milk to make frosting of spreading consistency. Frost over chocolate. Cut into bars.
