7 injured in Elgin house explosion

January 12, 2010 (ELGIN, Ill.) There are at least seven people injured. Several of the victims are children. None of the injuries is life threatening.

It happened Tuesday night in Northwest suburban Elgin. The house is located in the 700-block of Elma.

At least seven people were transported to the hospital. Their conditions were unknown on Tuesday night.

Officials from Nicor were on the scene and confirmed the explosion was caused by natural gas.
