Police: Girl approached by older male

February 1, 2010 (CHICAGO) On Monday, January 18, a 15-year-old girl was approached by a man as she left a convenience store at Addison and Pulaski. The man-- described as a 50 to 60 year old white male with gray hair, 5'8-5'9", 180 pounds -- started an inappropriate conversation with the girl and placed his hand on her back while offering her a ride in a nearby vehicle.

The girl said the man had a possible Russian or Polish accent and was wearing a black nylon 'bomber' jacket.

Following the report, police are reminding parents not to let children travel alone and report any suspicious activity to an adult.
