Ill. quake scares local woman with family in Haiti

February 10, 2010 (ROSELLE, Ill.) Genevive Pressard-Bonhomme is from Haiti and lives in Roselle. Although she was not in Haiti when the devastating earthquake hit, she has many loved ones there who survived.

Pressard-bonhomme says at first she thought she was imagining the earthquake because the disaster in her home country has been on her mind. But then she quickly realized she wasn't dreaming.

"I know it was an earthquake. My dresser was shaking. Everything was shaking. There was like big noise. It was very strong," said Pressard-Bonhomme.

No one in her home was hurt.
