Former Cicero president Betty Loren-Maltese has arrived at a West Side halfway house, where she is expected to spend the next two months. The once-powerful leader of Cicero drove back to Illinois from Las Vegas in a rented truck after being released from prison.
Loren-Maltese was released from prison last week. She spent seven years behind bars after being convicted of looting Cicero's treasury.
Friends say Loren-Maltese is broke and homeless. She's expected to spend the next two months at the halfway house.
