April 7, 2010 (CHICAGO) --Two foreclosed properties in Humboldt Park were allegedly being used to grow and store marijuana. A bank official surveying the properties on West Chicago near North Western Ave. called police after noticing a strong odor coming from the area.
Police say they found marijuana plants growing in a hydroponic lab. They also recovered hundreds of pounds of drugs with a street value of nearly $2 million.
Police are searching for suspects.
