April 26, 2010 (CHICAGO)

The governor says the new program is expected to create 15,000 jobs. It will draw upon federal stimulus funds to help those who are currently unemployed. All jobs will pay $10 an hour.

The governor says the program is intended to put Illinois residents back to work and help strengthen the economy.

Applicants must have a household income that's less than two times the federal poverty level.
