April 27, 2010 --A doctor who survived an attack in her office last summer is now suing the owners of the hospital complex where she was working.The doctor accuses Resurrection Health Care, the owners of St. Joseph hospital, of negligence. She says the hospital failed to provide adequate security in the building.
Marquis Allen, 25, was charged in the attack.
The doctor was stabbed but fought back and scared off her attacker.
Resurrection Health Care said it could not comment on pending lawsuits.
