They're upset with 44th ward alderman Tom Tunney who's in favor of the project at Clark and Addison across from Wrigley Field.
The $100 million dollar plan calls for building a Hyatt hotel, parking garage, retail stores, and apartments.
The high-rise hotel would be over 9 stories and the project would displace 8 local businesses including the i-o theater once known as the Improv Olympics.
Opponents say the development would destroy the character of the neighborhood.
