The son of State Senate President John Cullerton is in a 30-day inpatient treatment program.

Garritt Cullerton, 26, faces a DUI after he was stopped by police last month while driving a state-owned vehicle. Police say his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

His court case was continued on Wednesday.

His inpatient treatment program ends Friday.

John Cullerton said his son did not have authorization to use the state-owned vehicle.
