Most people know it is not a good idea to take too many pain relieving drugs. But new evidence has found that different drugs known as NSAIDs have different heart and stroke risks for patients in the future.

The study found the use of Voltaren is associated with a 91 percent increase in fatal heart attack and stroke. It's a drug commonly prescribed to treat such conditions as headaches arthritis and injuries.

Ibuprofen was found to have a 29 percent increase in relative risk of strokes, while no increased risk was found for naproxen , the generic form of Aleve.

Since 2005, all NSAIDs have carried warnings about the increased risk of cardiovascular problems, but the level of risk among the various drugs has never been qualified.
