September 9, 2010 (CHICAGO) --A student is accused of stabbing a teacher at an elementary school in the city's Pilsen community Wednesday.Police say the 27-year-old male teacher was breaking up a disturbance in the hallway at Pickard Elementary School as classes were ending for the day when he was bumped into by a 13-year-old boy. The teacher felt pain in his left shoulder and realized he had been cut.
Six stitches were needed to close the wound. Investigators say the weapon was either a knife or box cutter.
The boy is not in custody.
