Bears fans rejoice after first win

September 12, 2010 (CHICAGO) Nevertheless, a win is a win, but many are questioning what the rest of the football season will bring.

Fans speaking with ABC7 Sunday were elated, and a little bit relieved, after the team started its regular season with a victory, escaping with a 19-14 win over division rival the Detroit Lions.

The dramatic win came after a touchdown by the Detroit lions was disallowed and after Bears running back Matt Forte made an 89-yard touchdown run.

"Forte did his thing today. I mean, he is probably going to have a better scorecard than a lot of the wide receivers in the league today. I mean, he really did his thing today," fan Joe Morgan told ABC7 Chicago.

"They've got a lot of work to do," another fan, Raymond Carr said. "I'm not upset at all. I need the offensive line to do their job."

"Oh, yeah, they're going all the way. They're going all the way!" fan Jillian web said.

A lot of Bears fans say they are concerned about the number of turnovers that the Bears had Sunday, but they say the defense responded perfectly. Fans also say they hope that the 1-0 start to the regular season can be the proper momentum to keep the Bears victorious throughout the season -- all the way to the Super Bowl.
