Fioretti's mayoral announcement delayed by tonsils

Chicago Alderman Robert Fioretti is about to temporarily lose his voice.

That's because Fioretti is scheduled to get his tonsils out next Wednesday.

The 2nd Ward alderman says his tonsils have recently become inflamed and doctors are recommending they be removed.

Fioretti expects a five-to-10 day recovery.

He was expected to announce his run for Chicago mayor next week. Fioretti says that official announcement will be postponed until his recovery is complete.
