Schools crack down on unvaccinated students

October 22, 2010 10:39:10 AM PDT
Indiana school officials are cracking down on students who are not yet immunized.

Monday was the deadline for students to show documented proof they're up to date with state required immunizations. In Indianapolis, students who failed to do so were sent home.

School officials say they have made multiple efforts to let parents know ahead of time about the vaccinations.

The Marion County Health Department is dedicating its resources this week toward putting on mass vaccination clinics.
