Study: PSA test reduces risk if prostate cancer strikes

There's been a lot of debate as to whether a PSA test is beneficial or leads to unnecessary treatment.

But a new study finds having a PSA to screen for prostate cancer reduces the risk that if cancer develops it will spread to other parts of the body.

The study by the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio says this demonstrates that the PSA test is extremely valuable in catching disease earlier.
