Broken glass blocks traffic in the Loop

Several streets in the Loop were blocked late Wednesday afternoon to pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and the Brown Line is skipping a stop, because of a broken pane of glass on the 18th floor of the Board of Trade building.

Officials with the Board of Trade say the broken glass was discovered by window washers, but they don't believe any glass fell.

As a precaution, Van Buren was blocked from LaSalle to Financial Place and CTA trains were not stopping at the LaSalle and Van Buren station.
