The BGA filed a Freedom of Information Act request in August asking for the details about the officer assigned to Burke.
The association says it wants to know the size and the cost of the detail.
According to published reports, the police department says that granting the request would "defeat the purpose of security by providing potential threats with information that could then be used to subvert the department's efforts."
