June 16, 2011 (CHICAGO)

They are protesting the firing of several college presidents.

Earlier this month, the presidents of Malcolm X, Olive-Harvey, Truman and Wright colleges were fired.

A mandate was issued to boost the system's 7 percent graduation rate and reverse an enrollment decline.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel says new college presidents will be chosen after a nationwide search and the new leaders will be held accountable for improving student performance.
