Some city of Chicago workers have to turn in their cars, according to published reports.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel reportedly is looking at ending the shared lease program. According to the Chicago Tribune, the city will save more than $430,000 each year by ending the program, which affects approximately 78 city workers.

The city is also reviewing the take-home car privileges for roughly 4,800 other city employees to cut costs.
