June 24, 2011 (PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill.)

The 17-year-old was charged as a juvenile with criminal trespass to motor vehicle then released into the custody of his father.

The teen was a passenger in the vehicle that police say was stolen.

Three teens died when the car crashed into a tree.

The surviving teen told police the four met at one of their homes, drank beer and smoked marijuana. They then went "car hopping."

The Cook County medical examiner identified the victims as Elibeth Solis, 16, of Park Ridge; Jessica Ferrer, 15, of Arlington Heights; and Freddy Najera, 16, of Mount Prospect.
