Former Chicago priest sued for sex abuse

August 26, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The lawsuit accuses McCormack, a former priest at St. Agatha Catholic Church, of abusing an unidentified Chicago teenager between 2004 and 2006, when he was 12 years old.

The victim claims he was abused after McCormack was questioned by police and the church review board recommended his removal.

McCormack pleaded guilty in 2007 to abusing five children and served 2 1/2 years of a five-year sentence.

McCormack is currently being held in a state mental health facility under the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act.
