According to the Alzheimer's Association, there are 210,000 people living with Alzheimer's in Illinois. Its annual Chicago Walk to End Alzheimer's helps support local services and fund national research efforts.
The three-mile interactive walk at Montrose Harbor educates participants about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services of the Alzheimer's Association.
ABC7 is a sponsor of the walk, and our Alan Krashesky was once again the emcee of a tribute ceremony honoring those affected by the disease.
