The judge says the auction -- set for December 14 -- seems like the best chance to get the company operating under new management and to restore the business.
Moo and Oink went into bankruptcy in September. Approximately 200 employees lost their jobs after three stores in Chicago closed along with a grocery store in south suburban Hazel Crest and the company's e-commerce and wholesale operations.
The employees received no severance benefits.
