Vigil held 27 years after basketball standout's death

Monday night, his friends and family gathered for a vigil in his honor at Cole Park on 85th and S. King Drive.

Wilson led Simeon Career Academy to a state title in 1984. At the time, he was ranked as the number one high school basketball player in the country.

Wilson was killed by a gang member trying to rob him. More than 10,000 people attended his wake.
