Pastor holds tree lighting at S. Side motel

December 18, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Sunday night, he had a tree lighting ceremony to remember victims of violence in Chicago.

Brooks is staying on the roof of a dilapidated motel at 66th and King Drive to take a stand against crime and violence as well as raise money.

He is hoping to tear down the rundown motel and replace it with a positive space people in the community can use for support and education.
