A Chicago Tribune poll found that 54 percent of voters disapprove of the governor's job performance. Thirty percent approve of what he's done; 16 percent had no opinion.
Quinn's approval rating is at its lowest level since September 2010 when it was at 28 percent.
"Polls come and go but Pat Quinn's been around a long time. I've been in public life for about 40 years. And I'm, as the poll said, 'resilient,'" said Quinn.
Quinn says he was elected to carry out the tough tasks and sometimes you don't make a lot of friends doing so.
