Aurora woman missing with 3 young sons

February 16, 2012 (AURORA, Ill.)

Laureth ("Laurie") M. May, of 200-block of Plum Street in Aurora, and her three boys: Quincy Collins age 4, Oliver Collins age 2, and Spencer Collins, age 1; were all reported missing by Laureth's fiance Wednesday around 4 p.m.

Police say May and her fiance had a verbal altercation at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. The disagreement ended when May apparently woke the children and left with them in her white, 2001 Volvo station wagon with Illinois license plate 9590986. The vehicle also has a pink cancer ribbon on the left rear of the vehicle. According to her fiance, May has never behaved in this manner before. Before leaving, she gave no indications of intending to hurt either herself or her children.

May is a former teacher at a school in La Grange Highlands, Ill., police said. Detectives say she may be with one of her former students, a 17-year-old Cicero girl, who was also reported missing shortly after May left Aurora. Aurora police are working with Cicero police on the case.

May is described as white, 5'0", 135 pounds, with red hair, blue eyes and freckles. She was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket with a fur collar and blue jeans.

Her children are all are fair-skinned blacks with black hair and brown eyes. Quincy is 4'0", 40 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue and red pajamas with cars on them. Oliver and Spencer are about 2'0" and 30 pounds. Oliver was last seen wearing blue footie pajamas with ladybugs on them. Spencer was last seen wearing blue footie pajamas with snaps in front.
