Participants in the Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride started at a Chicago fire station in River North Friday's morning.
After a welcome ceremony, they took off, riding 25 miles to the fire department in north suburban Highland Park.
The Wounded Warrior cycling event travels to different cities to help restore the physical and emotional well-being of injured soldiers.
Twenty-eight warriors and seven caregivers joined in Friday's ride.
