Audio from 911 call in NW Ind. robbery

August 13, 2012 3:25:54 PM PDT
A firefighter called 911 as he pursued four men who allegedly forced their way into and robbed his neighbor's home.

"I got 'em. I got 'em. I got 'em right in front of me," the firefighter says in the call.

The home invasion happened last Wednesday in Porter County. Police say the suspects took guns and money from the Northwest Indiana house.

When they took off, the victim's neighbor got into his car and pursued the men into Lake County.

Firefighter: They're going 90 miles an hour west on 30.
Dispatcher: You're not going that fast though right?
Firefighter: Uh, I'm at 85 right now.
Dispatcher: OK.
Firefighter: I'm not losing these guys this is the second time this has happened.

There was a crash in Hobart, where police say one of the suspects shot and killed himself.

The other three were arrested and have been charged.
