Police in Evanston say they have arrested a suspect who used Craigslist to try to rob a man.

Sean Thomas, 20, of Chicago, is accused of attacking a man who had posted a for sale ad on Craigslist. The victim was selling an iPad, and Thomas responded to the ad, police said. Thomas allegedly arranged to meet the victim, and then attempted to run off with the iPad without paying for it. The victim ran after him, police said, and confronted Thomas, who allegedly pulled out a knife.

Thomas was arrested near the scene of the attack.

The victim was treated for knife and bite wounds.
