Former Drew Peterson attorney calls Joel Brodsky 'bully' in letter

September 24, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Attorney Steven Greenberg is demanding an apology from Peterson's lead attorney Joel Brodsky.

Brodsky notified Greenberg that Peterson was firing him after he was convicted of murdering Kathleen Savio.

Greenberg claims Peterson might have been acquitted had Brodsky not called Savio's divorce attorney to the stand.

Brodsky then criticized Greenberg, saying he was trying to shift blame away from himself.

Greenberg released a 15-page letter calling Brodsky "a bully." He wants an apology in 24 hours or he will consider legal action. He wrote, "Rather than accept any of the responsibility for what was one of the greatest mistakes in the history of jurisprudence... you are trying to make me the fall guy."

In response, Brodsky released a statement saying, "I am focused on Mr. Peterson's appeal and getting the verdict reversed. That's all that's important. The client's best interest must come first."
