Eating breakfast helps people make healthier food choices, researchers say

By reading the brain scans of people who skipped breakfast, they were able to determine that fasting made people hungrier. That resulted in making less healthy food choices throughout the day.

Eating breakfast, on the other hand, helped people avoid overeating and cravings for high-calorie foods.

Researchers from London's Imperial College conclude that fasting is not a good dieting strategy because it may cause the brain to seek out high-calorie foods.
