CTA reaches tentative deal with Amalgamated Transit Union

The Chicago Transit Authority has reached a tentative deal with the Amalgamated Transit Union.

ATU, the CTA's biggest union, represents more than 7,000 employees including bus drivers and train conductors.

It's the first time the two sides have avoided arbitration in decades.

Details of the contract have not been released, but pay, health care costs and scheduling were key points.
