Forty-seven-year-old Bahaa Sam's arrest came after an investigation involving several police departments.
Officers found the body of 38-year-old Nermeen Gamal Sam in the front yard of their home Wednesday morning. Her husband was immediately arrested.
Officers have responded to repeated domestic violence calls at the home in the past.
Relatives are caring for the couple's four children.
