2013 prom trends, Glass Slipper Project

March 13, 2013

With so many dress options, styles and accessories, how is one to choose? Shannon Ridgeway with Westfield Old Orchard shares the top trends that will have every teenage girl looking and feeling fabulous.

Westfield Old Orchard and Westfield Hawthorn have teamed up with the Glass Slipper Project to make prom dreams come true to underprivileged high school girls. The Glass Slipper Project is a locally based non-profit that supplies prom attire, free of charge, to those less fortunate. Westfield Old Orchard and Westfield Hawthorn are offering a $10 Westfield gift card for dress and accessory donations during the month of March.

Additionally, to help raise awareness for this wonderful cause, Westfield Old Orchard joined forces with the local fashion programs at Niles North, Niles West, and New Trier high schools. Teams of fashion students created prom-inspired fashion sculptures in conjunction with Oak Street Design. The sculptures are located near the Koi pond outside of Macy's, and you can vote for your favorite on Westfield Old Orchard's Facebook page!
