Chicago Heights alderman accused of breaking co-worker's thumb

A south suburban Chicago Heights alderman is accused of breaking a co-worker's thumb during an argument.

Richard Amadio is charged with misdemeanor battery.

Police say Amadio was working at a warehouse last month when he grabbed an oil can from a co-worker and bent his thumb back, causing it to break.

Amadio is scheduled to appear in court April 17.
