Marijuana plants found inside Bloomingdale home

Last night, detectives arrested Joseph Angelo of Bloomingdale. He has been charged with one count of Production or Possession of Cannabis Plants over 20 plants, but less than 50 – a class three felony.

Acting on an anonymous tip, members of the DuPage County Sheriff's Office the Bloomingdale Police Department made contact with the resident and discovered a sophisticated cannabis growing operation in his home.

Authorities found 42 mature plants and a number of juvenile plants in the basement of the home, along with growing equipment and other drug paraphernalia.

Angelo was booked into the DuPage County Jail and was released after he posted 10% of his $20,000.00 bond.
