The inaugural Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon and half-marathon begins Sunday at 7 a.m. on the campus of North Central College.
Saturday volunteers were busy building the race village, while runners picked up their information packets and checked out the expo.
Thirty-five hundred runners are participating in the race, with one flying in all the way from Venezuela.
