United Airlines to fly from O'Hare to Atlantic City

November 15, 2013 (CHICAGO)

United Airlines said it plans to offer a nonstop flight between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Atlantic City International Airport, according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Aviation.

The new flight is set to begin in April 2014, the statement said.

''On behalf of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, I want to thank United Airlines for adding new service to Atlantic City from O'Hare International Airport," said Rosemarie S. Andolino, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Aviation. "Chicago continues to be the world's best connected market due to the commitment of our airline partners, including our hometown carrier United Airlines.''

The Aviation Department said the United Express carrier ExpressJet will operate the Atlantic City flights with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft.

United's new flights, which also include new service between Atlantic City and Houston, will enable one-stop service between Atlantic City and points throughout the Midwest and western United States, Canada, Asia and Latin America, the statement said.
