June 8: A Dream of Arabia

It began with the dream of bringing the world together. A dream that goes back thousands of years to the birth of civilization. An effort to promote understanding through a shared human experience without regard to race, color, religion, or politics. The quest to bridge humanity through thought, innovation, and the universal language of the world -- Music & Dance. Over millennia, the regions of the Middle East and North Africa evolved through the interactions of many cultures and influences to create a rich cultural mosaic of artistic expression reflecting the diversity, harmony, and exchange of its people. Hosting A Dream Of Arabia is the first in-residence program at Dominican University Performing Arts Center, it is a chance for the University to stretch its wings with an international, large scale production beyond the size and scope of anything it had worked with previously.
