Aaron Marker, 10, was playing with friends near the Fox River when he slipped in and got sucked under last week. He was carried about 50 yards, where he grabbed a hold of a tree limb. A group of utility workers saw the boy dangling and one of them managed to pull Aaron to safety.

Aaron said he was surprised he could do that much damage.

"It felt like someone was grabbing onto my leg. Like just say there was an aquatic monster in there grabbing onto my leg and just dragged me in," said Aaron Marker, rescued from river.

Aaron adds he's learned a valuable lesson about how powerful rivers can be.
