Paratransit users protest against Pace

The riders protested outside of Sears Tower where a Pace Blue Ribbon committee meeting took place Friday afternoon.

Pace officials recently established the committee to review paratransit services, but riders complain that the taskforce does not include enough people with disabilities.

Users say service is poor and there are too many untrained drivers.

Pace officials say nearly half of the people serving on the committee are paratransit service users, and the others have direct ties to the disabled community.
