Canines sniffing cargo at Midway

CHICAGO The TSA is training its employees to handle dogs to check for dangerous substances on airplanes.

Tuesday, the TSA demonstrated how the dogs will sniff out trouble at Midway Airport. The dogs sit down in front of the questionable boxes when they find something suspicious.

"With their keen sense of odor, they're able to detect all different types of explosives," said Inspector Raymond Medina, Transportation Security Administration.

They started working Tuesday right after the demonstration.

More than 400 explosive detection teams are undergoing training.
