Gary talks about privatizing airport

Officials in Indiana are considering the possibility of privatizing the Gary-Chicago International Airport.Gary Mayor Rudy Clay and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels have been talking about such an option. So far, talks are only in the beginning stages.

The Gary airport is operated by an authority board. Four of its seven members are appointed by the mayor. Cay says the board would stay intact under options being discussed.

Chicago mayor Richard Daley hopes to complete a $2.5 billion-plan to privatize Midway Airport by the end of the year.
