CHICAGO Roberts spoke to the Life in the Balance Survivorship Conference, which was sponsored by the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. She said she found a lump, promptly had a checkup and was cleared by a mammogram. Fortunately, her doctor also requested an ultrasound, and a tumor was detected. A needle biopsy confirmed the diagnosis.
