Local runner wins division in Boston Marathon

A local runner who is legally blind has won the Visually Impaired Division of the Boston Marathon.Kurt Fiene, 47, defended his championship with his victory on Monday, his second in a row in Boston.

His winning time: 2 hours, 43 minutes and 44 seconds.

Fiene trains by running between seventy and eight-five miles a week.
