Blackberry Curve outsells i-Phone

May 4, 2009 Research in Motion's Blackberry Curve was the top selling smart phone in the first quarter of this year, according to one research firm that tracks sales.

The Blackberry Curve 8300 was available at more outlets than the i-Phone.

Sales may have also been increased through a buy-one get-one-free promotion through Verizon.

Apple's i-Phone 3G was the second top selling smart phone, followed by the Blackberry Storm.
