Identity affects women more than men

May 8, 2009 Twenty-eight percent of the women surveyed had been victims of identity fraud, compared to 21 percent of men.

Another study in February by a research group had similar findings.

The latest survey also found that it takes women longer to restore their identities, but they are also more likely to alter their behavior after becoming a victim.
