A group of protesters concerned about senior citizens in Illinois gathered on Tuesday outside the Thompson Center in Chicago.Members of the Jane Addams Senior Caucus are calling on the general assembly to fully fund home care services for seniors. They're worried that if funding is cut then thousands of seniors will have to leave their homes and move to nursing homes.

The community care program gets state and federal dollars to provide services such as caregivers so that seniors can live independently in their own homes and continue to participate in their communities.
